The Interactive Olive Oil and Producers Menu
A new way of telling the story of olive oil and its makers
The new and innovative “Artisanal Olive Oil and Producers Menu” is, to date, unique in Italy.
This special menu not only illustrates the characteristics of each olive oil, but also places the producer and their story at the center, enriching the experience with a multimedia narrative.
Thanks to a QR code, every guest can access online content and watch short videos where producers themselves tell the story of their farm and the process behind the creation of the chosen olive oil.
“The Interactive Olive Oil and Producers Menu is now a reality,” explained Paolo Morbidoni, host of the Osteria and President of the Umbria DOP Olive Oil Route. “It will be a compass for exploring excellence and the human factor that makes it possible. Every oil tells a story of those who have dedicated passion, effort, and expertise to caring for their land and producing something that is not only nourishment, but also culture and tradition.
This interactive menu offers the tools to enter this world and represents a true journey into Umbria’s olive oil heritage. It is aimed not only at enthusiasts or professionals, but above all at our restaurant guests, who will be able to enjoy a conscious and meaningful experience.
The idea not only highlights the quality of olive oil, but also presents it as a key to interpreting the territory, adding value to the dining experience. This initiative reflects a philosophy that considers the human factor as important as the technological one, celebrating the artisanal work behind every bottle.”
The presentation of the new menu was attended by journalists, representatives of the Confraternity of the Olive and Olive Oil of Città di Castello and of the Community of Original Olive Trees of the Upper Tiber Valley, as well as the producers involved: Eugenio Ranchino (Frantoio Ranchino Orvieto), Claudia Pompjli (Oro di Giano), Gianni e Giuliana Batta (Frantoio Batta Perugia), Dante Sambuchi (Olio Sambuchi Città di Castello), Graziano Decimi (Frantoio Decimi Bettona), Silvano Di Murro (Olio dei Monti Gubbio e Consorzio C.B.O.O.), Andrea Lucarelli (Olio Stoica Perugia) e Luca Mencaglia (Frantoio Marfuga Campello sul Clitunno).
